The Principal Enterprise Architect (Public Sector) at Celonis is a senior technical role focused on leading enterprise modernization initiatives for public sector clients. This position involves defining and implementing comprehensive architecture, data, and cloud strategies that align with clients' strategic objectives. The role requires close collaboration with C-level executives to translate their goals into actionable technical plans, leveraging Celonis' Process Intelligence Platform to drive digital transformation.

Key responsibilities include designing and defining overall architecture, data, and cloud strategies for large client accounts, engaging with and presenting to C-level executives to align strategic objectives with technical solutions, driving innovation by architecting solutions leveraging emergent technologies like Agentic AI, collaborating with product engineering teams and client teams to deliver technical services, assessing the IT landscape maturity of customer installations, participating in pre-sales and post-sales engagements, coaching and guiding consulting teams and partners on architecture, integration, performance, and scalability, and developing reusable assets, technical designs, and customer-facing thought leadership materials.

The ideal candidate possesses 10 to 15 years of relevant experience, such as serving as a Software Vendor Architect, CTO at a top consulting firm, or Enterprise Architect at a customer. They should have a proven ability to think strategically, connecting technical solutions to business value and customer objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, with a track record of presenting complex technical concepts and strategic visions to C-level executives. Demonstrated experience in Capability Mapping, Enterprise Modernization, and a strong understanding of Agentic AI are required. A strong background in Data Architecture, Integration patterns, and proficiency in data-related languages such as SQL and Python is also necessary. The candidate should have a solid technical background with a focus on system integrations, data operations, and automation capabilities. A Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, along with fluency in English; additional language skills such as Spanish, French, or Italian are advantageous.

Celonis offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $173,000 to $233,000 USD for the Washington, D.C. area, based on a full-time schedule. The total compensation package includes base salary, bonus/commission, equity, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, life insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
