Principal Product Manager, AI Platform (devEx)

Skyscanner is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the development of its AI Platform, focusing on enhancing the developer experience and productivity essential for building world-class AI systems. This role involves creating and scaling internal platforms that enable teams to efficiently develop, test, and deploy AI-powered products. The position is based in Barcelona, London, or Edinburgh, with a hybrid working policy requiring office presence twice a week.

Key responsibilities include defining the roadmap for Skyscanner's Generative AI platform, encompassing infrastructure, tooling, and observability. The role emphasizes designing platform capabilities that streamline experimentation, evaluation, and deployment of AI features, thereby boosting productivity through measurable outcomes. Additionally, the position involves collaborating with security, compliance, and data governance teams to ensure responsible AI usage and policy adherence, as well as building and scaling Skyscanner's knowledge graph and evaluation frameworks for AI applications.

The ideal candidate is a deeply technical product manager with a strong understanding of modern AI technologies, including large language models, embeddings, and inference pipelines. Experience in developer-facing environments, operationalizing AI systems, and a metrics-driven approach to improving developer experience are essential. The role also requires strong collaboration skills, the ability to influence without authority, and a curiosity for exploring new AI tools and practices.
