Principal Product Manager, Ecosystem
Skylo Technologies is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the development and expansion of our device ecosystem. This role is pivotal in bridging our engineering capabilities with the global hardware landscape, including chipsets, OEMs, and OS providers. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating complex hardware functionalities into a scalable, high-quality "Skylo Certified" device portfolio that ensures a seamless user experience.
Key responsibilities include defining and prioritizing hardware partnerships, sequencing integrations based on customer reach and technical feasibility, and establishing clear acceptance criteria for market-ready products. The role also involves making critical decisions on enforcing RF standards versus accelerating time-to-market, representing various stakeholder perspectives during technical sprints, and aligning Skylo’s feature roadmap with the release schedules of Tier-1 OEMs and chipset manufacturers. Additionally, the candidate will analyze post-launch data to continuously refine quality standards and prevent recurring issues.
The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in product management, wireless systems engineering, or ecosystem engagements, with at least 12 years accompanied by a Master’s degree. They should possess a deep understanding of hardware/software integrated systems, the mobile wireless stack (including RF, Modem, and OS like Android), and 3GPP standards. A proven track record of influencing external partners and making strategic decisions that balance immediate commercial pressures with long-term ecosystem health is essential.
Skylo offers competitive compensation packages, including a stock option-based equity program, comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans, as well as monthly allowances for wellness and education reimbursement. Employees enjoy a generous time-off policy, holidays, and opportunities to work abroad temporarily. Joining Skylo provides a unique opportunity to be part of developing and operating the world’s first commercial, live direct-to-device satellite network and service, alongside a world-class team across various tech domains.
