Principal Software Engineer

Conga is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join their B2B Platform Engineering, Core Services team. This role focuses on security, identity, and access management across Conga's B2B products. The position is hybrid, based in Houston, TX, or Boston, MA.

In this role, you'll lead a team of 5 to 8 engineers, setting technical direction for authentication and authorization systems. You'll collaborate with the Advantage Platform team to establish secure integration patterns between platforms. Your responsibilities include designing and developing core services that support cross-product identity, access control, and security standards.

Candidates should have over 8 years of backend software engineering experience, with a proven track record in delivering enterprise SaaS services at scale. Experience in designing and operating shared identity and platform-security services, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and token-based authentication, is essential. Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, TypeScript, Scala, or Rust is required.
