Principal Software Engineer
Kaseya is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a cloud-native, multi-tenant Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution. This role is pivotal in managing customer traffic across regions and gateways, ensuring scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient platform capabilities. The position is based in Pune, India, and offers an opportunity to contribute to Kaseya's mission of delivering comprehensive IT infrastructure and security management solutions.
The Principal Software Engineer will be responsible for architecting and developing SASE control-plane services that manage tenant configuration, policy, routing, lifecycle, and per-tenant usage across regions. Key responsibilities include defining orchestration patterns for configuration and telemetry, designing scalable cloud-native systems supporting dynamic gateway scaling and multi-region traffic management, and evaluating multi-tenancy models to optimize scale, isolation, performance, and cost. Collaboration with data-plane teams to define APIs and policy enforcement mechanisms is also essential.
Candidates must have over 10 years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems in SaaS, networking, or security platform environments, with at least 3 years in a Staff, Principal, or Architect-level role. Experience with SASE, SSE, SD-WAN, secure web gateway, cloud firewall, VPN, or ZTNA technologies is required. Proficiency in designing multi-tenant architectures, cloud-native service design, and familiarity with containers and Kubernetes is essential. Strong hands-on experience with backend engineering languages such as Go, Java, C++, or Rust is highly valued.
