Principal Software Engineer
Kaseya is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a cloud-native, multi-tenant Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution. This role is pivotal in shaping scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient platform capabilities that enhance the company's networking and security services. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-grade distributed systems that improve performance, availability, and operational efficiency.
The Principal Software Engineer will be responsible for architecting and developing multi-tenant cloud-native networking and security solutions across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments. Key responsibilities include leading the design of SASE control-plane services, defining orchestration patterns for configuration and telemetry, and ensuring dynamic gateway scaling and multi-region traffic management. The role also involves partnering with data-plane teams to define APIs and policy enforcement mechanisms, as well as establishing deployment methodologies in collaboration with DevOps and SRE teams.
Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 7 years focused on backend systems. Experience in a Staff, Principal, or Architect role with end-to-end ownership of architecture and delivery is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as Golang, C/C++, PHP, and Python is essential. The role demands expertise in cloud-native networking and security appliances, Linux networking, and network security technologies. Familiarity with SASE components and Linux userspace fast-path frameworks is also necessary.
