The Principal Solutions Engineer at OneTrust plays a pivotal role in driving business development and sales growth by providing technical expertise and product evaluation support to prospective customers. This position is integral to the Sales Engineering team, collaborating closely with sales, product, and engineering departments to ensure customer success and influence product direction. OneTrust is a leader in enabling responsible data and AI usage, offering a platform that simplifies data collection, automates governance, and enforces data policies across the entire data lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include serving as the technical expert during major sales opportunities, preparing and delivering proposals, RFPs, and custom proof-of-concept evaluations to demonstrate OneTrust's integration capabilities. The role involves leading technical deep-dive discussions to architect integrations, advising customers on best practices, and supporting sales teams with client meetings and custom integration design options. Additionally, the Principal Solutions Engineer coordinates with internal R&D, technical integrations, and partner integration teams to influence product capabilities and future direction.

Candidates should possess a BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent, with 12-16 years of relevant experience in the technology industry, ideally within an enterprise cloud-based software company. Expertise in selling, configuring, and delivering software demonstrations, as well as implementing software products or solutions for enterprise companies, is essential. Advanced experience with REST APIs, JavaScript, FreeMarker, HTML, CSS, and familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift are highly desirable. Strong entrepreneurial skills and the ability to build relationships across stakeholders in R&D, marketing, sales, and engineering are also important.
