Procurement Counsel
Braze is seeking a Procurement Counsel to join its dynamic legal team. This role involves providing legal support for the company's procurement activities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and mitigating risks associated with vendor agreements and contracts. The Procurement Counsel will collaborate closely with various departments to facilitate efficient and legally sound procurement processes.
Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of vendor agreements, such as master service agreements, supply agreements, and consulting contracts. The role also involves advising on contract amendments, assignments, and terminations, as well as supporting high-value and complex procurement negotiations. Additionally, the Procurement Counsel will assist in developing and maintaining contract templates, playbooks, and process improvements to enhance the procurement function.
The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the United States. A minimum of 5 years of legal experience is required, with a strong focus on procurement contracting within the technology industry. The candidate should have excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across business units and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with legal operations tools and familiarity with regulatory considerations applicable to the technology sector are preferred.
