Product Design Intern

Anduril Industries is seeking a Product Design Intern for Summer 2026. This paid, in-person, 12-week internship is based in Costa Mesa, CA, or Seattle, WA. Anduril is a defense technology company dedicated to transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology, focusing on autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology.

As a Product Design Intern, you will develop foundational product design skills through real-world impact. You will own a feature or workflow end-to-end, running discovery, design exploration, prototyping, and implementation with engineers. Leveraging Anduril’s existing design system components and interaction patterns, you will exercise your design fundamental skills, including typography, color and icon usage, and layout.

You will define solutions based on an understanding of end-user needs, product, and business goals. Developing a deep understanding of operator workflows and mission context through observation and engagement with end users or proxy subject matter experts is essential. Participation in user research sessions and practicing synthesis of learnings with guidance from your manager or lead will be part of your responsibilities.

To be eligible, you must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in design (HCD, interaction, visual) or a related field and be a rising senior at the time of the internship, returning to school at the end of the internship to continue your academic studies for at least one quarter/semester. A desire to work on software and applications that have real-world impact is crucial. U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export-controlled data.
