Product Designer, HMI
The Product Designer, HMI role at Applied Intuition is a critical position focused on creating state-of-the-art human-machine interfaces for advanced automotive and autonomous driving systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design of HMI workflows, including conceptualizing, prototyping, and delivering polished interaction designs for cutting-edge vehicle applications. Your day-to-day work involves conducting user research, translating technical requirements into intuitive interface elements, and working cross-functionally to ensure cohesive and scalable design systems. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to user testing and refinement, ensuring the final products are highly usable and meet industry standards for safety and efficiency.
The ideal candidate brings at least three years of professional experience in user interface or product design, preferably in an automotive, robotics, or related technical domain. Strong skills in visual and interaction design, proficiency with industry-standard design tools, and a solid portfolio of past HMI or complex technical projects are required. Experience working with engineers and familiarity with technical constraints are highly valued, along with the ability to communicate design rationales effectively.
