Product Line Lead Engineer, Rocket Motor Systems
As a Product Line Lead Engineer at Anduril Industries, you will oversee the development and production of solid rocket motor systems, managing their lifecycle from initial concept through to full-scale manufacturing. This role is integral to Anduril's Tactical Recon & Strike division, which focuses on creating advanced autonomous drones and solid rocket motors to meet diverse mission requirements.
In this position, you will lead solid rocket motor programs from concept into production, owning the program with full authority and responsibility for its execution. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include generating and executing program plans, serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers, managing interdisciplinary technical teams, coordinating with Manufacturing Operations and Supply Chain, driving cost reduction efforts, and developing technical roadmaps for each product.
Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the design, development, and manufacture of solid rocket motors. A strong technical background in mechanical design, internal ballistics, structural analysis, or thermal analysis is essential. Additionally, strong project planning and management skills, proficiency in systems engineering (particularly risk and requirements management), and the ability to travel up to 25% are required. U.S. Person status is necessary due to access to export-controlled information.
Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in engineering or engineering management, experience with SolidWorks CAD software and/or Abaqus FEA software, and the ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance.
