Product Manager, MyPay
Chime is seeking a strategic Product Manager to lead MyPay, its Earned Wage Access (EWA) product and one of the company's largest business lines. This role involves full ownership of the product strategy, pricing, and execution, operating with an owner's mindset akin to managing a P&L. The position offers significant executive exposure and requires navigating regulatory complexities and external stakeholder scrutiny.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing the end-to-end product strategy for MyPay, grounded in a deep understanding of member needs and financial behaviors. The role involves framing high-stakes problems into clear product bets, balancing short-term iterations with long-term vision to build member trust, and acting as the unofficial GM by owning pricing, growth, profitability, and the long-term roadmap. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Data, Marketing, Operations, and Engineering is essential, especially given the highly regulated nature of the product. The Product Manager will also anticipate regulatory changes and translate ambiguity into clear product directions and execution plans, presenting strategies and results to executive leadership with high visibility and accountability.
The ideal candidate has 6–10+ years of Product Management experience with consumer-facing, revenue-generating products, prior ownership of pricing, monetization, or P&L-adjacent responsibilities, and experience operating in regulated environments such as FinTech, payments, lending, or banking. A proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with executive-level stakeholders, strong data fluency including experimentation, metrics definition, and financial modeling, and experience owning full-stack product surfaces are also required. Comfort operating under pressure with high external and internal visibility is essential.
The base salary for this role ranges from $207,000 to $280,000, with full-time employees also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. Actual compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience. The role is in-office in San Francisco Monday through Thursday each week.
