The engineer will also serve as the primary point of contact for all sustainment-related matters within the assigned product team and collaborate with design and manufacturing engineering teams during new product development phases to integrate best sustainment practices early in the process.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated detailed and extensive technical expertise in applying mechanical or systems engineering principles to complex hardware systems. Proficiency with professional CAD software and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools is essential, along with a foundational understanding and practical application of Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements, principles, and concepts. A minimum of 5 years of experience in product support, sustainment engineering, or systems engineering roles within high-rigor environments such as defense, aerospace, advanced robotics, or complex industrial systems is required. Familiarity with military standards, specifications, and regulatory compliance relevant to product support and sustainment activities is also necessary.
