Production Coordinator II
The Production Coordinator II at Rocket Lab's Middle River, MD facility plays a pivotal role within the Supply Chain team, ensuring the seamless flow of materials and components essential for the company's rocket and satellite programs. This position is integral to maintaining the efficiency and success of Rocket Lab's manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities include managing fulfillment within the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system for production work orders, releasing kit requests to inventory, and prioritizing and expediting subassemblies to support integration timelines. The role also involves identifying and resolving blockers that may impede production, such as addressing issue tickets, part shortages, and yield losses. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to achieve company-wide goals.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma and at least two years of experience in a high-paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access, is required, along with knowledge of MRP/ERP systems. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business or supply chain, proficiency in MRP systems, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
