Production Manager (2nd shift)
As the Production Manager for the second shift at Harbinger Motors Inc., you will oversee the high-volume manufacturing of our innovative electric vehicle platforms. This pivotal role involves leading a dynamic team to ensure operational excellence, safety, quality, and productivity during evening operations. Your leadership will be instrumental in advancing our mission to revolutionize sustainable commercial transportation.
Your primary responsibilities will include managing all aspects of second shift production to meet daily targets related to safety, quality, delivery, cycle time, and uptime. You will lead and develop supervisors and associates, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Implementing lean manufacturing principles such as 5S and standardized work will be essential to optimize processes, reduce waste, and maximize throughput. Additionally, you will proactively identify and resolve production bottlenecks, implement root cause corrective actions, and collaborate effectively with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Facilities teams to implement process changes.
The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume manufacturing, including at least 5 years in direct production management. A bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or a related technical field is required. Proven ability to lead and motivate large teams under pressure, strong understanding and practical application of Lean Manufacturing principles, and exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills are essential. The role requires adaptability, decisiveness, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate issues across all organizational levels.
Compensation for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 annually.
