Rocket Lab is seeking a Production Planner II to join our Supply Chain team at our Long Beach, CA headquarters. This role is integral to managing work orders and ensuring seamless coordination between Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Finance departments. The Production Planner II will play a pivotal role in maintaining efficient production schedules and supporting our mission to deliver responsive launch services and spacecraft manufacturing.

Key responsibilities include overseeing supply and fulfillment planning within the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system, releasing work orders to Production, and managing kit requests to Inventory. The role also involves creating visibility of material positions through reports, supporting the prioritization and expediting of subassemblies, and ensuring accurate part master data within the MRP system. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve company-wide goals is essential.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a related field, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in MRP systems, MS Office, ERP systems, and a solid understanding of production planning fundamentals are required. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication abilities, are essential for success in this role.

Rocket Lab offers a competitive salary range of $72,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
