Production Supervisor, General Assembly (2nd Shift)
The General Assembly Production Supervisor at Harbinger Motors Inc. is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the chassis production line during the second shift. This role ensures that production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and processes run efficiently. The supervisor will lead a team of production workers, coordinate activities between departments, and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and product quality.
Key responsibilities include supervising and coordinating the activities of production staff to ensure efficient and effective production processes, providing training and support to team members, and conducting performance evaluations. The supervisor will also ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols, monitor and inspect parts and assemblies for quality, coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for timely material delivery, and identify opportunities for process improvements utilizing lean manufacturing principles. Additionally, routine maintenance on assembly equipment and tools is required, along with documenting production issues for the following shift.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or automotive assembly preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role, is required. Experience in the automotive industry is advantageous. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical specifications, strong communication skills, and the ability to use hand and power tools are essential. The candidate should also possess excellent problem-solving skills, physical stamina, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Compensation for this role ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually.
