Program Lead, Project Operations
The Program Lead, Project Operations at Hut 8 is a pivotal role within the Project Operations team, acting as the operational bridge between departmental standards and field execution teams. This position ensures that Hut 8's expanding portfolio of data center and energy infrastructure projects is effectively resourced, coordinated, and administratively supported from initiation through completion. The Program Lead influences and guides a distributed network of Project Administrative Leads across active project sites, driving portfolio readiness and ensuring teams have the necessary tools, reporting frameworks, and communication infrastructure to operate efficiently at scale.
Key responsibilities include managing Hut 8's Portfolio Readiness Program to oversee all active and upcoming projects, ensuring the organization has the appropriate subject matter experts and field resources to meet current and future project demands. The role involves leading a distributed team of Project Administrative Leads, conducting routine check-ins, implementing coordination standards, and ensuring each coordinator has the tools, resources, and guidance needed to perform their role effectively. Additionally, the Program Lead is responsible for building and maintaining communication infrastructure across the project portfolio, supporting financial reporting to leadership by tracking expenditures, developing and enforcing project coordination standards, serving as a primary coordination point between field teams and senior leadership, and supporting the onboarding of new projects and initiatives.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, or a related field, along with 5–7 years of experience in program management, project administration, or operations coordination, preferably within a fast-scaling, multi-site environment. Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating distributed teams, strong financial acumen with experience tracking expenditures and preparing budget summaries, proficiency in project management platforms and collaboration tools, advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, exceptional organizational skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. A background in AEC, infrastructure, or capital project environments is a plus.
