Program Manager, Aircraft Integration
Archer is seeking a Program Manager for Aircraft Integration to oversee the performance and delivery of integrated aircraft vehicles. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including Engineering, Software, Program Management, Quality, and Test, to drive progress and execution critical to the success of Archer's eVTOL aircraft.
Key responsibilities include developing strong relationships across Archer and with suppliers, leading a multidisciplinary team to execute complex development programs within schedule and budget, and serving as the primary program leader for Program Gates and Milestones such as CoDR, PDR, CDR, and PRR. The Program Manager will define, launch, and drive mission-critical technical and business initiatives, manage project risks, issues, and opportunities, and ensure on-time execution. Regular communication with stakeholders, preparation of project reports, and identification of areas for process improvement are also essential duties.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in complex hardware and software design, development, testing, and production, along with experience as a program or project manager and knowledge of program management best practices. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, Business, or equivalent industry experience is required. Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Atlassian Jira, and Confluence is preferred, as well as strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to operate in an ambiguous environment with little direction.
Bonus qualifications include over five years of related experience with aviation engineering disciplines, a thorough understanding of engineering product development, direct experience as a program manager of an air vehicle program, experience working with ARP4754A and DO-178C, and FAA certification experience.
