Archer, an aerospace company based in San Jose, California, is developing an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft aimed at advancing sustainable air mobility. The Program Manager for Structural Integrity will be part of the Structural Integrity organization, collaborating with teams such as Loads and Dynamics, Structural Analyses/FEA, and Structural Validation/Test, as well as external product development and design teams. This cross-functional role requires close coordination with Engineering, Program Management, and Supply Chain teams.

The Program Manager will build and maintain strong relationships across Archer teams, including internal and external suppliers and customers. They will act as the primary interface between Structural Integrity, Engineering, Program Management, and Supply Chain on project deliverables, issues, and resolutions. Responsibilities include managing schedules and technical performance to meet program requirements, developing task-based schedules, leading program kickoff and gate meetings, tracking milestone progress, identifying and managing program risks, issues, and opportunities, and driving on-time execution both internally and at suppliers. The role also involves preparing and presenting project reports and performance metrics to senior leadership.

Candidates should have an understanding of the design, development, testing, and production of mechanical systems, along with a bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in product and program leadership and management roles is required, as well as project management experience. Analytical capabilities to identify schedule critical paths and optimize engineering and supply chain timelines are essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or other scheduling software is necessary. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to operate in an ambiguous environment with little direction, are important.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of and experience within aerospace systems, a thorough understanding of engineering product development including design phases, systems engineering, design validation and verification, and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence for task management and collaborative documentation is beneficial. Experience with Part 23/27 Certification and/or working with ARP4754A is also advantageous.

Archer offers a competitive base pay between $172,800 and $237,600 for this position, with actual compensation determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The company is committed to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces differences and supports all team members.
