Project Assistant
Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is seeking a Project Assistant to join its Debt, Servicing, and Restructuring team in the Boca Raton office. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic legal environment, providing essential support to attorneys and paralegals in managing complex financial transactions. The firm, with over 1,000 professionals across multiple offices, is recognized for its commitment to client service and professional development.
The Project Assistant will be responsible for managing and tracking critical due dates, handling calendaring, and preparing and organizing signature and closing packages. Additional duties include drafting shell documents and necessary forms, retrieving and maintaining electronic files, preparing closing binders, ordering lien searches, and requesting survey proposals. The role also encompasses various administrative tasks to support the team's operations.
Candidates should possess a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. Strong communication skills are essential, with an emphasis on proactive follow-up and follow-through to ensure team efficiency. While a bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred, it is not required. Proficiency in word processing programs and features, including document preparation, editing, and retrieval, is necessary.
