Project Manager, External Engagement (Contractor)

Legend Biotech is a global biotechnology company dedicated to treating, and one day curing, life-threatening diseases. Headquartered in Somerset, New Jersey, the company develops advanced cell therapies across various technology platforms, including autologous and allogenic chimeric antigen receptor T-cell, T-cell receptor (TCR-T), and natural killer (NK) cell-based immunotherapy. The Project Manager, External Engagement (Contractor) will join the Commercial team based in Bridgewater, NJ, reporting to the Executive Director of External Engagement.

In this role, the Project Manager will proactively manage multiple projects, utilizing project management tools and processes to ensure timely delivery aligned with company goals. Responsibilities include defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders, developing comprehensive project plans, identifying and mitigating potential risks, and effectively communicating project modifications to impacted parties. The role also involves coordinating with Legal, Compliance, and Medical Affairs departments to ensure adherence to budgetary and legal requirements, implementing procedures for project monitoring, managing workflow requirements and documentation, interfacing with executives for strategy and budgeting purposes, and maintaining a system for problem resolution.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, with two to four years of project management experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. The role requires strong initiative, excellent interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at various levels, proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project, exceptional planning and organizational abilities, strong quantitative and analytical skills, and the capacity to manage multiple projects in a high-pressure, rapidly changing environment. Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve critical issues, manage timelines, and communicate complex concepts concisely is essential.
