Project Mechanical Engineer IV
CannonDesign is seeking a Project Mechanical Engineer IV to join their multidisciplinary team, focusing on large-scale projects in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology sectors. This role offers the flexibility of remote work within the United States, with a preference for candidates located near Arlington, VA; Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA; Buffalo, NY; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Minneapolis, MN; Pittsburgh, PA; or St. Louis, MO.
In this position, you will lead the design and implementation of complex HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment selection for large-scale buildings. You will work independently across all mechanical disciplines and may assist with plumbing and fire protection designs as needed. Your responsibilities also include mentoring and providing technical leadership to designers and engineering teams, overseeing the use of energy modeling software, and preparing Revit/BIM models for construction drawings.
Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of related experience and hold a current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering in the United States. LEED accreditation is preferred. Strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Proficiency in engineering design programs such as Revit and Trane Trace is required.
The salary range for this position is $98,124 to $122,706 annually, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
