Propulsion Design & Sustainment Engineer
Anduril Industries is seeking a Propulsion Design and Sustainment Engineer to join our team in Santa Ana, California. This role focuses on advancing our Air Breathing Turbojet Engine Technology within a dynamic and innovative environment. The successful candidate will contribute to both new product development and sustainment activities, playing a pivotal role in our Propulsion Design Engineering Group.
In this position, you will support the transition of new products into production and ensure the smooth sustainment of existing products. Key responsibilities include mapping vehicle-level requirements to subsystem or component levels, procuring and testing hardware against specifications, and maintaining design verification and validation plans. Collaboration with manufacturing and R&D teams to implement product improvements is essential, as is leading investigations into field failures and proposing corrective actions.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and have at least 3 years of experience in design engineering, sustaining, or hands-on R&D roles. Proficiency in designing mechanical parts using CAD software such as NX or Solidworks, and a solid understanding of various manufacturing methods, are required. Familiarity with mechanical drawings, ASME Y14.5 GD&T, and experience with release management in PLM systems like Teamcenter are also necessary. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
The annual salary for this role ranges from $129,000 to $171,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
