Purchasing & Logistics Specialist
The Purchasing and Logistics Specialist at Voyager Technologies, Inc. is a critical role within our Minden, LA facility, reporting directly to the Director of Operations. This position supports our Department of Defense and PSM-regulated explosives and chemical manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless procurement, inventory management, and logistics to maintain uninterrupted plant operations.
Key responsibilities include maintaining site inventory accuracy through cycle count program execution and reconciliation, leading purchasing activities by assisting with supplier selection and purchase order execution, and planning and coordinating inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective material movement. Additionally, the role involves monitoring material availability to proactively address potential shortages or excesses and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards across all purchasing, inventory, and logistics processes.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field with at least two years of experience in purchasing, inventory, or logistics. Alternatively, an associate's degree with five years of relevant experience or seven years of experience with a high school diploma is acceptable. Experience managing inventory in a manufacturing environment, proficiency with ERP systems like NetSuite, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. The ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with various departments and suppliers is also required.
