Python Engineer, Truework
As a Python Engineer at Truework, a subsidiary of Checkr, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining a platform utilized by eight of the top ten mortgage lenders in the United States. Truework specializes in providing essential employment and income information for various applications, including mortgage loans, apartment rentals, and background checks. Operating independently within Checkr, Truework combines the agility of a startup with the resources of an established company, offering a dynamic and innovative work environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure code to support Truework's significant scale. Your day-to-day activities will include collaborating with product managers and customers to define and implement features, designing and architecting new functionalities with cross-functional teams, and resolving product ambiguities to ship impactful features. Additionally, you will monitor, investigate, and resolve production issues as they arise, ensuring the platform's reliability and performance.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of software development experience, with proficiency in Python and JavaScript. A bachelor's degree or equivalent education/training is required. Experience in developing RESTful APIs, strong communication and documentation skills, and a strong sense of ownership from feature design through production release are essential. A desire to collaborate with external stakeholders and an eagerness to learn, innovate, and have fun are also important qualities for this role.
Compensation for this position ranges from $150,000 to $176,000 annually, depending on experience and location.
