Quality Inspector

This position is based in Sydney, Australia, and focuses on supporting manufacturing and production teams by executing detailed inspection processes to maintain high-quality standards.
Key responsibilities include performing incoming, in-process, and end-of-line inspections, supporting material review board processes, and developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures. The Quality Inspector will also propose continuous improvement projects, support the calibration process of test equipment, and assist with internal and external audits on processes and procedures.
Required qualifications encompass experience with calibrated equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM), as well as proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including wire diagrams and model-based definitions (MBD). A solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), experience inspecting CNC machined parts and electrical components like PCBs and wire harnesses, and familiarity with quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO9001 are essential. Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance are also required.
