Quality Technician, Chassis/GA (Contract - 2nd shift)
As a 2nd shift Quality Technician specializing in Chassis and General Assembly, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electric vehicle platform. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, implementing quality control measures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve our production standards. Additionally, you may be required to maintain calibrated test equipment, prepare test data, and identify areas for quality control improvement.
Key responsibilities include conducting detailed inspections of automotive components and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. You will implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the production cycle, actively participate in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to address quality issues, and work closely with production teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to communicate quality standards and expectations. Providing training to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices is also part of your role.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (a college degree or equivalent is preferred but not required) and at least two years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, or process-focused role. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, effective communication and collaboration abilities, and a solid understanding of chassis or automotive assembly are essential for success in this position.
This contract position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $25 to $32. The role is assigned to the second shift, with standard hours from 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, and the shift schedule is subject to change.
