Real Estate Finance Associate
Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is seeking a mid- to senior-level Real Estate Finance Associate to join its Debt, Servicing, and Restructuring group. This team focuses on real estate and finance matters across the United States, including senior, mezzanine, and equity financing, as well as acquisitions, dispositions, development, foreclosures, and workouts. The firm represents lenders and commercial real estate developers in a variety of transactions nationwide.
The associate will be responsible for managing complex commercial real estate finance transactions, representing both bank and non-bank lenders. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and negotiating loan documents, conducting due diligence, coordinating with clients and opposing counsel, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle multiple transactions simultaneously.
Candidates must have 3 to 7 years of meaningful commercial real estate finance experience, specifically representing bank and/or non-bank lenders. Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Excellent academic credentials are required, and candidates must be admitted to and in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, and/or Texas.
The salary range for this position is $230,000 to $320,000 annually, with compensation determined by factors such as experience, skills, and location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for performance bonuses and benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off.
