Regional Design Director - Central Region
The Regional Design Director at CannonDesign is responsible for overseeing and leading creative excellence within a specific geographic area, currently encompassing 150 to 300 staff across multiple offices, each with its own design leadership. This role is integral to ensuring the firm's Living-Centered Design ethos is effectively translated into client solutions and external brand narratives.
Key responsibilities include maintaining design excellence across the region, conducting regular touchpoints with senior design leaders, and holding virtual and in-person regional design-standard reviews. The director will also oversee regional third-party recognition, including project publications and award submissions, and represent the firm externally at regional events, conferences, and broader events.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, with at least 20 years of related experience in design leadership roles and a minimum of 3 years leading a design studio or practice segment. Strong oral presentation and storytelling skills are essential, along with the ability to understand and execute business strategy. A current US Architectural Registration is preferred, and additional accreditations such as LEED are advantageous.
