Regional Sales Manager - Vietnam
MariaDB is seeking a dedicated and driven Regional Sales Manager to lead enterprise account acquisition and renewal efforts across Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. Reporting to the Sales Director, this role focuses on executing a customer-centric sales strategy, emphasizing new customer acquisition while managing and nurturing existing client relationships. The position operates remotely, with a preference for candidates based in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi.
Key responsibilities include meeting or exceeding an annual sales quota of $1 million USD, identifying and securing new enterprise sales opportunities, and developing account plans to retain and grow existing client revenue and renewals. The role also involves driving sales growth through effective enterprise customer and partner relationship management, navigating complex sales processes using customer-centric selling and MEDDPICC methodologies, and collaborating closely with business development, presales, marketing, and sales teams. Maintaining an accurate and robust pipeline and forecast of business opportunities in is essential.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of database or data management sales experience, up to 10 years of consultative sales experience, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding $1 million USD in annual sales quotas. A strong focus on new and expansion business, persistence, tenacity, and self-discipline are crucial. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage large enterprise opportunities while closing transactional and renewal business, possess effective sales acumen to run complex sales cycles, and be results-driven, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously. Strong executive presence and excellent communication skills at all levels are required, along with a proven history of selling complex solutions at a senior level. Willingness and ability to undertake business travel within the assigned region and experience working effectively in a remote-first, fast-paced environment are also necessary. Fluency in Vietnamese and English, both verbal and written, is essential.
