Reliability Program Manager (Hardware)
As a Reliability Program Manager (Hardware) at Block, you will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of hardware reliability validation across our consumer electronics portfolio. This role is integral to ensuring the durability and performance of our products, collaborating closely with teams such as Hardware Engineering, Product Design, Quality, Operations, and Manufacturing.
Your primary responsibilities will include developing and maintaining standardized reliability test plans, managing schedules across multiple hardware programs, and serving as the main liaison with third-party reliability laboratories and contract manufacturers. You will oversee the execution of reliability testing, analyze results to identify trends and risks, and work with engineering teams to drive failure analysis and implement mitigation strategies.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field, with a preference for a Master's degree. A minimum of 8 years of experience in consumer electronics, hardware development, or manufacturing environments is required, along with at least 5 years of direct experience managing hardware reliability programs. Strong knowledge of reliability testing methodologies and experience working with third-party labs and contract manufacturers are essential.
Block offers a competitive compensation package, with salary ranges varying based on location. For example, in Zone A, the salary range is $198,000 to $297,000 USD.
