Reporter, European Private Equity
As a Reporter specializing in European Private Equity at PitchBook, you will be an integral part of our Editorial team, contributing to our mission of delivering insightful journalism on private markets. PitchBook, a Morningstar company, is renowned for its comprehensive data and analysis, serving a global clientele of investors, advisors, and market participants.
In this role, you will report on trends and major news concerning private equity deals, funds, and management. Your responsibilities include producing timely content such as analytical feature stories, data-centric market snapshots, and breaking news articles. Utilizing PitchBook's proprietary datasets, you will craft data-driven stories and collaborate with research analysts and designers to enhance the depth and visual appeal of your journalism. Building and maintaining a network of industry sources will be essential, as will attending major conferences and events to stay abreast of developments in the field.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and have at least two years of experience in financial journalism or comparable analytical writing. Proficiency in navigating data to uncover insights, conducting firsthand reporting under deadline pressure, and writing clearly and concisely are crucial. Experience in creating data-centric graphics, translating complex financial topics into engaging content, and the ability to pitch and develop story ideas independently are also important. Strong communication skills, curiosity about a wide range of topics, and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential. Experience covering financial markets and technology is highly desirable.
