Research Engineer - 3D Vision and Generation, Self-Driving
Applied Intuition is seeking a Research Engineer to join its Research Group, focusing on advancing 3D vision and generation technologies for autonomous driving applications. The team comprises leading experts recognized for their contributions to computer vision and robotics, aiming to develop cutting-edge physical AI solutions.
In this role, the engineer will conduct research on topics such as 3D foundation models, multi-modal pretraining, Gaussian splatting, and world foundation models, with direct applications to autonomous driving. Responsibilities include collaborating with research scientists and interns to produce high-quality publications for top-tier conferences and working with engineering teams to deploy algorithms into mass production vehicles and simulation tools.
Candidates should have hands-on experience in areas like 3D reconstruction with Gaussian splatting, 3D or multi-modal foundation model pretraining, world foundation models and video generation, or 3D/multi-view end-to-end models for autonomous driving or robotics. Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, computer vision, robotics systems, and distributed machine learning model training is required. A passion for scalable autonomy and robotics in real-world systems is essential.
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $126,000 to $423,000 annually, along with equity options and comprehensive benefits.
