RF Test Engineering Intern

As an RF Test Engineering Intern at Rocket Lab Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in the certification of Neutron, our next-generation medium-lift launch vehicle. Collaborating closely with experienced RF and System Engineers, you will contribute to ensuring our hardware withstands the demanding environments of reusability and meets stringent national security standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to be directly involved in the development of cutting-edge space technology.

Your primary responsibilities will include hands-on work with critical flight hardware such as advanced radios, high-gain antennas, amplifiers, and complex passive systems. You will be tasked with defining comprehensive test campaigns that align with the latest regulatory and customer requirements. Additionally, you will act as a liaison between RF, Avionics, and Manufacturing teams to develop practical test solutions and design or adapt test assets and ground support equipment essential for validating our flight hardware.

To be successful in this role, you should be currently pursuing a degree in Electronics, Communications, or RF Engineering, or a related field. Practical experience with laboratory equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), Spectrum Analyzers, and Signal Generators is essential. A solid understanding of transmission line theory and signal propagation is required, along with a strong passion for space systems and a desire to contribute to missions beyond Earth's atmosphere.
