As a Perception Autonomy Engineer at Applied Intuition, you will play a crucial role in developing, integrating, and maintaining real-time sensor software solutions for a diverse range of autonomous vehicles operating across various domains, including land, air, sea, and space. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to enhance capabilities and demonstrate solutions to customers in real-world scenarios on multiple hardware platforms.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and rapidly integrating AI/ML sensor algorithms to interface across different platforms, ingest relevant mission information, and support the autonomy team's objectives. This involves creating autonomous sensor controllers to optimally fuse information from state-of-the-art sensor systems such as electro-optical (EO), infrared (IR), acoustics, radar, and radio frequency (RF).

To be successful in this role, you should possess an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotic Engineering, Computer Science, Optimization, or a related field, or have 5+ years of relevant experience working with sensor algorithms, hardware, and hardware-in-the-loop software integration. Experience with multiple sensor modalities, a core understanding of sensor physics and control parameters, proficiency in training and deploying machine learning algorithms onto integrated systems, familiarity with tracking basics and optimal sensor fusion, and comfort working in Linux and Docker environments are essential.

Applied Intuition offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $140,000 to $220,000 annually, equity options, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage, 401(k) retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Benefits are subject to change and may vary based on the jurisdiction of employment.

Joining Applied Intuition means becoming part of a company at the forefront of physical AI, creating the digital infrastructure needed to bring intelligence to every moving machine on the planet.
