The Sales Engineer at PitchBook Data plays a pivotal role within the Customer Success Team, focusing on maximizing client engagement with PitchBook's API and data feed solutions. This position involves close collaboration with Sales and Customer Success teams to deliver technical expertise and support, ensuring clients fully leverage the platform's capabilities.

Key responsibilities include providing both pre- and post-sales technical consultation to clients and prospects regarding PitchBook's data feed and API offerings. The Sales Engineer partners with internal teams to design and implement tailored technical solutions, effectively communicates platform features and underlying technologies, and manages client requests for technical specifications. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with Product teams to relay customer feedback and contribute to ongoing product enhancements.

Candidates should possess a minimum of three years' experience in sales engineering, customer success, or technical sales, with expertise in at least two of the following areas: financial markets industry knowledge, strong technical skills, or sales/customer success expertise. Proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce, familiarity with the sales pipeline, and strong project management abilities are essential. A demonstrated capacity to learn about private equity, venture capital, private credit, and M&A marketplaces is also required.

Compensation for this role includes an annual base salary of $110,000, with an additional on-target variable commission of $30,500, based on individual performance.
