Cato Networks is seeking a Sales Engineer for the Southern Jersey and Philadelphia area to serve as a technical resource for our field sales team. In this role, you will actively drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working alongside the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our solutions. As a Sales Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include providing technical validation of Cato Networks' solutions to prospective clients, developing and delivering product demonstrations, and presenting our products at customer meetings and industry events such as conferences and seminars. You will also respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs and RFPs, convey customer requirements to our Product Management teams, and travel throughout the assigned sales territory to support sales activities.

The ideal candidate will have over four years of pre-sales or consulting experience working with network and/or cloud security products in a customer-facing role, along with a proven track record in software sales. A comprehensive understanding of networking technologies—including LAN and WAN technologies, switching and routing, security (firewalls and filtering technologies), and cloud—is essential. Strong presentation skills, excellent written communication abilities, and an organized, analytical, and creative approach to problem-solving are also required.
