Archer, an aerospace company based in San Jose, California, is seeking a motivated individual to join their team as an SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager. This role is integral to Archer's mission of advancing sustainable air mobility through the development of all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft designed to carry four passengers with minimal noise. The successful candidate will report to the Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting and will play a key role in the company's financial reporting processes.

The primary responsibilities of this position include driving the preparation and timely completion of SEC filings such as Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. The role involves preparing earnings per share and cash flow statements, coordinating with internal teams and external auditors to gather and validate required disclosures, monitoring new accounting pronouncements, reviewing iXBRL tagging requirements, and assisting with quarterly earnings release support. Additionally, the manager will perform technical accounting research, develop and maintain accounting policies, support internal control processes in compliance with SOX 404 requirements, and collaborate cross-functionally with various departments on transactions and reporting needs.

Candidates must possess a degree in accounting or finance and hold an active CPA license. A minimum of six years of accounting experience is required, with at least five years of progressive experience in public accounting, preferably with a Big 4 or large regional firm. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and internal control frameworks is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to research and resolve complex technical accounting issues, exhibit exceptional attention to detail, and possess strong project management and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and Workiva is also required.

Archer offers a competitive base salary ranging from $146,900 to $183,600, with actual compensation determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
