Security Engineer (Purple Team)
Applied Intuition is seeking a Product Security Engineer to join their Purple Team, focusing on ensuring the security and integrity of products such as Vehicle OS, Self-Driving Systems, and Over-The-Air (OTA) and remote command center backend systems. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product security through offensive security assessments and recommending defensive techniques.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and auditing vehicle software platform code to identify vulnerabilities using automated tests and tools, leading security verification and validation initiatives, setting up environments for penetration tests and risk assessments, implementing fixes for identified vulnerabilities, designing secure vehicle software platforms and architectures, conducting security testing, performing risk assessments, and working with various business units to develop secure automotive products in line with ISO 21434 and UN R155 standards.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of embedded systems and their interaction with hardware, experience in penetration testing or security assessment of embedded systems, technical knowledge of Linux or QNX internals, expertise in C, C++, x86, ARM, cryptography, or exploit development, experience with network security, proficiency in C/C++ or Python programming, understanding of hardware security primitives, experience with security tools and vulnerability research, and the ability to perform formal risk assessments and coordinate security projects.
