Security Operations Analyst
The Security Operations Analyst role at Diligent Corporation is integral to the company's mission of safeguarding its personnel, sites, and assets globally. As part of the agile Security Operations team, the analyst will work closely with cross-functional departments to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of customer, employee, and business information, adhering to organizational, industry, and regional standards.
Key responsibilities include actively monitoring and responding to security alerts from tools such as SIEM, EDR, and CNAP. The analyst will analyze these alerts to identify true positives, document tuning opportunities to reduce false positives, and support change management processes to mitigate security risks. Additionally, the role involves configuring and running network and endpoint vulnerability scans, collaborating with technical teams to address risks through patching and configuration changes, and contributing to the evaluation and enhancement of security tools and policies.
Candidates should possess 3-5 years of information technology experience or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience. Experience in information security, particularly within a Computer/Security Incident Response Team (C/SIRT), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), Computer Security Incident Response Center (CSIRC), or Security Operations Center (SOC), is essential. A strong understanding of regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks, along with technical knowledge of anti-virus solutions and the ability to distinguish between virus activity and directed attack patterns, is required.
