Senior Account Manager, SMB
As a Senior Account Manager on the SMB team at Braze, you will oversee a portfolio of growth customers, ensuring they maximize the value of our customer engagement platform. This role combines elements of consulting, business analysis, project management, and sales, offering an opportunity to collaborate with leading brands and deepen your expertise in multi-channel consumer engagement, mobile marketing automation, APIs, and analytics.
Your primary responsibilities will include managing the commercial relationship with clients to drive utilization and value, achieving upsell and renewal targets. You will acquire and maintain in-depth product knowledge and stay abreast of industry trends. Proactively analyzing customer product usage to identify growth opportunities and effectively communicating client feedback to the product team are key aspects of the role. Collaboration across departments, including Success, Sales, Product, Legal, and Marketing, is essential to coordinate resources and drive feature adoption. Additionally, you will work closely with Account Executives and other Success Partners to ensure seamless client transitions from pre-sales through onboarding to ongoing service usage.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong drive, intellectual curiosity, and a relentless commitment to excellence. A background in SaaS sales for mobile and/or marketing technology is preferred. Proven success in navigating organizations to quickly identify decision-makers and understand the decision-making process within the SMB customer segment is crucial. Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills are required, along with experience using CRM systems like Salesforce to manage the sales pipeline. Excellent organizational skills, time management abilities, and the capacity to handle multiple competing priorities are essential. The ability to quickly adapt to new cloud applications and tools, a strong networking acumen, and up-to-date knowledge of digital trends, especially in the mobile, web, and email space, are also important. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is expected.
For candidates based in the United States, the starting salary for this position ranges between $60,000 and $90,000 per year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $117,000 and $180,000 per year, including bonus or commission.
