Senior Application Security Engineer

G-P is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to enhance the security of its web platforms and integrated AI/LLM systems. This remote-first role involves evaluating web technologies and AI workflows using enterprise-grade tools, enforcing AI security guidelines, and collaborating with engineering teams to address security findings.

In this position, you will participate in threat modeling exercises with engineering team members for application and AI-driven architectures. You will triage findings from Software Composition Analysis (SCA), Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools, eliminating false positives and providing well-vetted vulnerabilities to engineering teams. Additionally, you will support vulnerability management efforts for networks and infrastructure, perform security assessments, reviews, and internal penetration tests, and develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive security tasks.

Candidates should have a BS (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience in application security is required, encompassing threat modeling, secure design reviews, code reviews, and penetration testing. Proficiency in coding or scripting languages such as Python or Go is essential. Experience with web application penetration testing, Amazon Web Services (AWS) security, and engineering knowledge is also necessary. Familiarity with Linux, Docker, Terraform, and programming against REST APIs is advantageous.
