Senior Application Security Engineer
As a Senior Application Security Engineer at Moniepoint, you will play a pivotal role in integrating security into our software development lifecycle. Collaborating closely with engineering teams, you will ensure the delivery of secure and innovative services that maintain customer trust. Your responsibilities will include conducting threat modeling, performing code reviews, and developing security automation tools to enhance our security posture.
In this role, you will define and execute security strategies aligned with business objectives, lead security architecture reviews, and provide design guidance for diverse software projects. You will also mentor engineers, fostering a culture of security excellence. Your day-to-day tasks will involve adversarial security analysis, manual and automated secure code reviews across various programming languages, and the development of security automation tools to scale vulnerability detection.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in application security, including at least two years in a senior or lead role. Expertise in threat modeling methodologies, penetration testing, and secure software development lifecycle implementation is essential. Proficiency in code review for languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript, as well as experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, is required. Hands-on experience in building security tools using languages like Python or Go, along with a proven track record in security architecture design and risk-based decision-making, is highly desirable.
