This role focuses on developing and commissioning automated manufacturing systems to enhance production throughput, product quality, and operator safety. The successful candidate will collaborate with product-specific design and manufacturing teams to determine appropriate levels of automation and integrate advanced technologies into production lines.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing high-volume production automation systems, developing user interfaces for automation equipment, and integrating these systems into core company platforms such as ERP, MES, and PLM. The engineer will also design standard automation and control hardware and software platforms, collaborate with cross-functional teams—including electrical, mechanical, production, design engineering, and software engineering—and scale automation systems across multiple production locations. A strong background in automation and control design, proficiency in scripting for test automation, and software experience—including the ability to write and debug automation code—are essential. The role also requires a strong electrical engineering background, including design of electronics and mechatronics, and excellent cross-functional communication skills. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance is mandatory.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $146,000 to $194,000 per year, with actual compensation varying based on factors such as work experience, education, and critical skills. Anduril provides comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision plans at little to no cost, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off with a holiday hiatus in December, caregiver and wellness leave, family planning and parenting support, mental health resources, professional development reimbursement, commuter benefits, and relocation assistance, depending on role eligibility.
