Senior Blockchain Engineer
Groma is seeking a Senior Blockchain Engineer to join our Boston-based team. Groma is a company that blends real estate and technology to unlock new real estate asset classes, making ownership accessible to a broad array of investors, including institutional investors and residents in our buildings. The company utilizes AI and blockchain technology to efficiently acquire, upgrade, and operate multifamily buildings, bringing institutional performance to this historically overlooked sector.
In this role, you will be part of a small team of software engineers responsible for building the digital infrastructure and products that power Groma. Your primary focus will be on developing, deploying, and maintaining smart contracts in production environments on EVM networks such as Ethereum and Base. Additionally, you will work on tools designed to manage Groma's growing real estate portfolio efficiently, products that enable investors to initiate and manage their investments, and infrastructure to express property assets and investor share holdings on blockchain networks.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with smart contract development on EVM networks and familiarity with various token standards. Experience with real-world assets, representing securities with compliance constraints on-chain (e.g., ERC-3643), and DeFi protocols like Uniswap is highly desirable. A strong product mindset, technical breadth across backend and frontend development, and the ability to work directly with stakeholders to understand and solve business problems are essential.
Groma offers a dynamic startup environment where engineers are expected to move quickly and balance quality with delivery speed. The company values a healthy work-life balance while expecting a high degree of commitment from every team member. This role is full-time and based in Boston, MA, with an in-office requirement.
