Senior Capture & Proposal Manager - Defense
Applied Intuition is seeking a Senior Capture & Proposal Manager to join its rapidly expanding Defense Team. In this pivotal role, the individual will bridge strategy and execution, transforming advanced autonomous systems technology into compelling proposals for defense clients. The company, founded in 2017 and valued at $15 billion, provides digital infrastructure for industries such as automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture.
The Senior Capture & Proposal Manager will lead the entire pursuit lifecycle for mid-to-large scale opportunities, from initial market research through final proposal submission. Responsibilities include drafting clear and persuasive narratives that translate complex technical capabilities for Department of Defense (DoD) customers, developing differentiated capture strategies in collaboration with Business Development and Product teams, and refining internal proposal management workflows to ensure high-quality outputs under tight deadlines. Additionally, the role involves managing a library of technical content and collaborating on pricing strategies aligned with commercial and fixed-price business models.
Candidates should possess 8–12 years of experience in end-to-end capture and proposal management related to the DoD, with a proven track record of leading and winning competitive proposals in the $50M–$100M+ range. Deep familiarity with DoD procurement processes, including the FAR/DFARS and non-traditional pathways like OTAs and Middle Tier of Acquisition (Section 804), is essential. Exceptional writing skills, the ability to generate high-quality technical and management prose on short timelines, and experience building processes in dynamic environments are also required.
