The Senior Category Manager, Sensors/Mission Systems at Anduril Industries is a pivotal role responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives for sensor and mission system commodities. This position involves developing and executing commodity strategies focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience. The role requires close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure the seamless integration of critical components into Anduril's advanced defense products.

Key responsibilities include managing the end-to-end delivery of quality parts at optimal costs, acting as the sourcing expert for sensors and mission systems manufacturing, and leading the RFI/RFQ/RFP and strategic sourcing processes. The manager will own business relationships with external contract manufacturers, ensuring continuity of supply, risk management, cost negotiations, and the transition from new product introduction to mass production. Additionally, the role involves influencing technical design specifications, performing detailed cost analyses, and negotiating agreements to establish best-in-class pricing and service terms.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field, along with a minimum of five years of experience in supply chain commodity management of sensors or mission systems manufacturing, or sourcing engineering. The role requires the ability to travel up to 50% of the time and relocate to Costa Mesa, CA, if not already local. Preferred qualifications include a degree in physics, electrical, or mechanical engineering, experience in defense or related industries, proficiency in total cost of ownership analysis, strategic thinking capabilities, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Anduril offers a competitive salary range of $128,000 to $192,000, with actual offers varying based on experience and qualifications.
