Senior Cloud Networking Engineer
Skylo Technologies is seeking a Senior Cloud Networking Engineer to design, implement, and optimize networking solutions across our cloud environments. This role is integral to ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing network connectivity for our global systems. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cloud, DevOps, and security teams to deliver reliable cloud networking architectures that support our mission-critical platform.
Key responsibilities include architecting and maintaining networking solutions in AWS and GCP, encompassing VPCs, subnets, routing, peering, and hybrid connectivity. The engineer will design and configure load balancing, API gateways, private service access, and service meshes for modern application environments. Additionally, the role involves implementing and managing cloud-based firewalls, NAT, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions, as well as optimizing network performance, latency, and availability for distributed systems.
The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years focused on cloud networking. Deep knowledge of AWS VPC networking, GCP VPC & VPC-SC, or Azure Virtual Networks is essential. A strong background in routing, BGP, DNS, firewalls, and load balancing in cloud and hybrid environments is required. Experience with Kubernetes networking (CNI, service mesh, ingress/egress) and proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation are also necessary. Relevant certifications like AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, GCP Professional Cloud Network Engineer, or CCNP/CCIE are preferred.
