Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Braze is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join our Security Engineering team. This role focuses on enhancing the security of our cloud-native infrastructure, which spans AWS, GCP, and self-managed Kubernetes environments. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Product Engineering teams to strengthen our cloud security posture and drive the future of Cloud Security at Braze.

In this position, you will design secure cloud architectures and develop scalable security controls for new and existing services. Your responsibilities include implementing end-to-end cloud security measures across various platforms, leading vulnerability management workflows, managing security tools, performing threat modeling, contributing to incident response, securing Infrastructure-as-Code deployments, developing automation for detection and response, and enhancing cloud logging and monitoring.

The ideal candidate has over five years of experience in Cloud Security, Infrastructure Security, or DevSecOps within a product-focused company. You should possess expert-level knowledge of AWS security, including IAM, control plane security, network controls, logging, monitoring, and cloud-native security services. Additionally, experience with GCP security, self-managed Kubernetes, security tools like CrowdStrike and Tenable, incident response in cloud environments, IAM and RBAC, CI/CD pipeline security, Infrastructure-as-Code (preferably Terraform), and Python for automation is essential.

Braze offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $140,800 to $232,000 per year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $156,000 and $258,000 per year, which includes bonuses or commissions.
